Pincho Nation – a new tapas and cocktail bar in Karlsruhe
Social Dining, Tapas, Cocktails, and a Circus Atmosphere
With Pincho Nation, Karlsruhe has had a new destination since June 12, 2026, for everyone who doesn’t just want to enjoy food but wants to celebrate it as an experience. Located at Erbprinzenstraße 23, in the former premises of Sausalitos, this Scandinavian-inspired restaurant concept combines international tapas for sharing, creative cocktails, and a striking interior—thereby adding a new and unique touch to Karlsruhe’s dining scene.
Circus-style atmosphere, a food-sharing concept, and an immersive experience at Pincho Nation in Karlsruhe
Following locations such as Kiel and Bremen, the “Fan City” is now also excited about the opening of Pincho Nation. What makes this restaurant special is not just the menu, but the overall experience. The concept originated in Sweden and combines small, internationally inspired dishes with a digital ordering process and a very special atmosphere. Pincho Nation’s interior transports guests into the world of the circus. Here, you’ll find an opulent, colorful interior featuring plenty of velvet, warm, subdued lighting, and decorative circus elements, as well as servers dressed in circus uniforms.
Culinary-wise, Pincho Nation focuses on a sharing concept featuring small plates. Instead of ordering appetizers, main courses, and desserts in the traditional order, guests can combine different dishes, share them with others, and sample them together. The menu is very diverse and offers something for everyone:
- Mexican Tacos
- Mini Burgers
- Ribs
- Fish and Chips
- Deep-Fried Shrimp
- Dumplings
- Edamame
and much more. It’s precisely this concept that has already won over many residents of Karlsruhe, as it allows them to sample a variety of flavors, share their favorite dishes, and enjoy the evening in good company. Of course, the restaurant also offers desserts such as churros (long, thin pastries from Spain), ice cream with marshmallows, crème brûlée, and ice cream sandwiches. Pincho Nation has also put together a Kids Selection for children, featuring pizza, burgers, chicken skewers, and fries.
But it’s not just the food that takes center stage at Pincho Nation—the drinks are also skillfully showcased. The team focuses on fruity flavors and eye-catching presentations. Typical drinks feature yuzu, passion fruit, pineapple, coconut, peach, rhubarb, strawberry, or lychee. A special highlight: Yu Zu Cute, a drink served in an Asian noodle box.
Order via the app at Pincho Nation in Karlsruhe—modern, fast, and hassle-free
Another difference from many other restaurants is Pincho Nation’s digital ordering process via its in-house app: Guests can browse the menu, order food and drinks, and pay later. The food is then brought to the table, and, as is customary in Sweden, guests pick up their drinks directly from the bar.
Plus, every time you visit, you can earn bonus points in the app, which you can later redeem for free tapas.
Whether it’s after a day of shopping with friends, an after-work get-together with coworkers, an anniversary, a birthday, or a celebration—at Pincho Nation in Karlsruhe, culinary delights now meet social dining and a truly unique experience.
