A place of art on Karlsruhe's Kronenplatz - the new Galerie Mokinski
The two owners Markus and Veronika Mokinski have created a gallery at Kronenstraße 32 in Karlsruhe on July 11, 2025, which has set itself the goal of being an open, lively place for art in Karlsruhe that inspires, connects - and simply brings joy. "That's the most important thing about art and the works we select for the gallery: It should be fun, meet visitors with a twinkle in the eye and invite exchange," explains Markus Mokinski. "I've been an enthusiastic photographer for years, my wife is a designer with an incredible feel for colors, shapes and atmosphere," Markus reveals. "As a family project - actively supported by our four grown-up children - our aim was to bring experience, curiosity and passion for art to Karlsruhe," he adds.
Buket Aslantepe is the first female artist to be presented by the gallery since 11.7.2025. Her artworks are reflected in paintings and sculptures, focusing on the depiction of female figures that shift between reality and imagination. "We are very proud to be able to exhibit such a talented and impressive artist in our gallery," explains Markus proudly. Until September 2025, Karlsruhe residents can get to know these works and let themselves be carried away into the wonderfully surrealistic world of Buket Aslantepe.
Framing, own art and photography in the Karlsruhe
Gallery Mokinski
Downstairs in the gallery's own workshop, Markus Mokinski offers the opportunity to have works individually framed. The owner also produces customized, high-quality framing solutions that are individually tailored to the space and the work. "I work with renowned German manufacturers and look for the ideal solution for every request to give the works the perfect frame," says Mokinski.
Also part of the gallery are the stacked artworks "Stilstapel" by the owner Veronika Mokinski. With a love of detail and a lot of passion for old books, she has created stylish home accessories that are real highlights in many corners of the gallery thanks to their poetic design. In the gallery's own "photo corner" for portraits and photographs, Markus Mokinski has created a place in the gallery where his impressive black and white photographs for private individuals or companies are created.
