"Famous furnishings" – that's the motto of the Roter Punkt furniture store at Amalienstraße 25 in downtown Karlsruhe. Opened in 1989 by Raphael Löhr, Roter Punkt is a family business that both owners, Mr. Raphael Löhr and his wife Sibylle Antal, run with heart and soul to this day. Starting out as a seller of futon beds, over the years the store has added bed frames of all kinds and eventually many other pieces of furniture. What has remained from the beginning is a love of interior design and the red dot, which is meant to be reminiscent of the Japanese flag, because after all, futon beds originate from Japan.

Here, Karlsruhe residents will find only items that the entire team considers to be valuable and of high quality. "If, during setup, we notice that something does not meet our quality or design standards, we don't want to sell it to the customer; we simply remove the item from the exhibition," explains Sibylle Antal.
