Do Sul - the very special concept store in Karlsruhe
The owner of Tasca Do José in the southern Waldstraße opens a store with Portuguese favorites!
In his Tasca the owner José has been taking the fan-shaped city into the culinary world of Portuguese cuisine for many years. This is also where the idea for the concept store was born: "I've often been asked by my guests where I get my crockery from. This is directly from Portugal and therefore 100% authentic, of course," explains the owner. "That's how I came up with the idea of sourcing the tableware from Portugal and bringing it directly to Karlsruhe," he adds. Just a few meters from his Tasca Do José the idea came true on June 28, 2021 and José opened the door to his concept store for the first time "Do Sul" in the southern Waldstraße.

"I mainly source my items from small companies and manufacturers that I support," explains the owner. These include bowls from "Naso", which contributes to the Portuguese "Red Note Day" with the proceeds, or sneakers from Sanjo, which has been making shoes for men and women since 1933.

As "Do Sul" is a concept store with a changing product range, it is worth visiting the store in the southern Waldstraße on a regular basis.
