Antikart antiques in Karlsruhe for over 30 years
Ralf Durbass is an expert for paintings, furniture, art and more at Amalienstraße 37 in Karlsruhe
Stylish lamps, expressive paintings, the finest porcelain and pieces of furniture that tell stories - Antikart by Ralf Durbass is a Karlsruhe address for anyone looking for a very special piece of furniture for their own four walls.
Home and furnishing antiques for Karlsruhe and far beyond the region's borders
Opened in 1994 on 70 square meters, it expanded to over 200 square meters just four years later. To this day, Ralf Durbass has remained loyal to the premises and the address at Amalienstraße 37 in Karlsruhe. "The secret of our success and why we have been around for over 30 years is that we have always kept up with the trends. Be it the industrial style that was popular 10 years ago or back to the 70s in the early 2000s," explains the owner. Dusty antiques are long gone from the store in Amalienstrasse; instead, Antikart showcases hip living trends, mainly from estates. "We are called in to distribute estates, act as
advisors for relatives and sell on behalf of customers," explains Durbass.
This includes real treasures and unique pieces from the following areas
- Art
- Furniture
- Lamps
- Porcelain
- Drawings
- and fashion
can be found in the store. "Many customers have appreciated our selection for many years and come to visit us," explains Ralf Durbass. "Dealers are also among them. They then sell the pieces on in other cities on our behalf," he adds.
Antikart from Karlsruhe - combines stationary trade with online trade
In 2000, Ralf Durbass began using the eBay sales platform for Antikart in addition to his beautiful store. "We put up to 100 items online every week, usually with a starting price of €1," he explains. From Montblanc pens and an original 1920s Charleston dress to drawings and sculptures - real bargains and, above all, rarities can be snapped up at Antikart both in the store and online. "The online store is also very popular and more than 70 parcels usually leave Amalienstrasse after 10 days of auctioning," says the owner.
Whether you are looking for a new, very special favorite piece, a single object or an estate and would like advice - Ralf Durbass is always looking forward to your visit. If you would like to find out more or browse a little, you can take a look at Facebook or the website.
