The taste of Korea has been available since July 2024 at Namu House, right on Karlsruhe's Europaplatz in Kaiserstraße 150 in the basement of the premises of Mai Garden Karlsruhe residents are introduced to the authentic cuisine of Asia. Lots of plants, cozy seating areas and the highlight of every table: the integrated grill and hot pot for Korean dishes. "We always had to travel a long way to eat authentic Korean food," explains Hoaiphuong Pham, who runs the restaurant with his cousin. "And it was precisely this authentic cuisine that we wanted to bring to Karlsruhe and implement with Namu House," he reveals. Socializing and sharing food - that is part of the Korean table culture that the owners have brought to Europaplatz with Namu House in the form of the BBQ and the hot pot.

Both the BBQ and the hot pot at Namu House can only be ordered for two or more people. "Fish, meat, vegetables - you can choose from different plates," explains Pham. "We then show how everything works directly at the table. If you want the food grilled, you choose the plates for the BBQ and grill them on the grill plate. The plates that are cooked in the broth are suitable for the hot pot," says Pham. The following ingredients can then be included in both dishes:

• Iberico pork
• Roast beef
• Tofu
• Shrimps
• Octopus
• Ramen
• Vegetables

"You should also definitely plan enough time and enjoy the meal together",
recommends Pham.
