For many, the Stövchen in the southern Waldstraße, house number 54, is a cult pub, favorite breakfast spot and lunch break meeting place all in one. Enamel signs adorn the walls and the cozy inner courtyard is no longer an insider tip, but the scene of legendary evenings. After 40 years, the lease was passed on to Udo Deris in April 2000 by the long-time owner, Gudrun Linn. He ran the Stövchen until autumn 2019, since when the current owner, Markus Muth, has been welcoming Karlsruhe locals to the cult restaurant.
