Once the seat of the Reichsbank and Landeszentralbank, the building underwent a complete renovation in just 10 days in the spring of 2017 and then celebrated its reopening in new splendor under the management duo Aline Varela and Harald Dietrich. The historic charm of the building has been retained and emphasized by lighting effects and modern furnishings. Low-hanging pendant lights illuminate the former counter hall, while rustic tables meet comfortable upholstered chairs. In summer, the beautiful outdoor area in front of St. Stephen's Church in the heart of the fan-shaped city attracts visitors with its special and cozy flair.

A restaurant with a varied and fresh selection

But it's not just the atmosphere at the Alte Bank that is impressive; the food and drink on offer is also impressive. From Monday to Saturday, 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., the restaurant is currently enchanting guests with a light and sophisticated summer menu: in addition to fresh salads in many delicious variations, with:
