A visit to the Karlsruhe Zoological Garden is a real highlight for children of all ages. In spring there are many young animals, but visitors can also look forward to a close-up view of the animal world during the year. In spring, Karlsruhe Zoo is a real nursery
Giraffes, hippos and snow leopards are not the only ones who have delighted visitors with their offspring in recent years. Visitors to the Zoologischer Stadtgarten can also spot young animals among the alpacas, coatis, Benett kangaroos and many more. Here you can enjoy your lunch or coffee in the sunshine on the spacious terrace. The special thing about EXO is that you can look directly into the interior of the Exotic House through a pane of glass. Past the hippos, you will also find Wim's Waffles Kiosk, which offers a wide variety of sweet pastries: classic with powdered sugar or topped with fresh fruit, chocolate and cream. Other culinary hotspots in the Zoologischer Stadtgarten include the Karl Kutta restaurant and La Crepería.
A special experience: the exotic house
On 29.07.2015, the Exotic House opened its doors to visitors for the first time. Here you can discover exotic animals in their habitat, such as sloths, squirrel monkeys and armadillos. Various aquariums, a bat cave and exotic bird species can also be found in the open interior area hidden among exotic plant worlds .

Whether it's the rose garden, the scent and touch garden or the Japanese garden - the Zoological City Garden has a lot to offer. Depending on the time of year, you can experience a wide variety of plants in bloom. In April, for example, the Japanese garden shines in all its glory in a wide range of pink and rose tones.
