Volksbank Karlsruhe eG

The Volksbank head office in Ludwig-Erhard-Straße in Karlsruhe, designed by the Stuttgart architectural firm "Hermann+ Bosch", was completed in 2008. The project with the working title "3xL" stands for light, air and quality of life. The building is particularly striking due to the three large windows that serve as atriums. The façade and the roof merge into one another, forming a kind of shield. The photovoltaic elements on the façade protect against noise and strong sunlight in a creative and sustainable way.
