From reading lounge to knight's castle: on two floors in the Karlsburg at Schlossplatz (Entrance B) you will find everything from current daily newspapers and magazines, non-fiction and novels for adults to children's and youth literature, board and console games as well as CDs and DVDs.

The district library in Durlach is the oldest branch of the Karlsruhe City Library. It was established in 1908 and has now been in a central location for 40 years - in the Karlsburg, which is rich in eventful history.
