Film producers based in Karlsruhe are organized in the Filmboard Karlsruhe. It serves as a point of contact for filmmakers and supports film productions that want to realize projects in Karlsruhe, especially in the areas of location scouting and production services. Our work focuses on film events, further training opportunities and the development and intensification of international cooperation.

The German southwest has a lot to offer film producers: unused locations, excellent infrastructure for the creative industry far away from the major production locations and many professional filmmakers, from cameramen, lighting technicians and sound engineers to writers, directors and producers.

But we are also excellently positioned in the area of new production technologies and the audiovisual future, for example with regard to virtual reality, 3D and animation.

Thanks to its proximity to France and Switzerland, there are also excellent conditions for cross-border co-productions. This is why the Filmboard Karlsruhe is an associated partner of the Interreg project "Film am Oberrhein".
