The Exotic House at Karlsruhe Zoo is home to over 2000 exotic animals, such as bats, sloths and tropical birds. The main theme of the Exotic House is "riverside landscapes " - the variety of plants creates an authentic jungle feeling.
Description
The Exotic House opened in June 2015 and is the second largest house of its kind in a German zoo after Gondwanaland at Leipzig Zoo.
Since May 2015, the Exotic House has been gradually coming to life, first behind the scenes and then, from the beginning of June, in the large and small and small hall as well as in the aquariums, terrariums and paludariums.
With around 2000 animals of almost 100 species, the Exotic House now offers a wide variety of different animals. of different animals. Among the visitors' favorites are definitely the two-toed sloths. All animals are captive-bred, not wild-caught.
